West Essex Bowmen

 If you decide to Join West Essex Bowmen, we have full access to our field 365 days of the year, from 8 am til dusk so you can usually shoot when ever you want,  Junior members under the age of 18 can not shoot alone, they must be supervised by another member of the club who is also a member of Archery GB and a second adult must be present at all times, the second adult  can be a non archer who acts as a lookout. you may see sometimes updates on the club Facebook page giving times and dates for field maintenance, such as grass cutting or line painting or hole filling, but you will be given a date and how long the work will take. feel free to give a hand if your able to

If you drive to the field then you will need to be aware of the Country Park opening times and more importantly to be able to get out the closing times.

During the summer months the car park can stay open til 9:30 pm 

so you can then shoot from 8:00 am til 9:30 pm

During the winter months the car park can stay open til 4:30 pm 

so you can then shoot from 8:00 am til 4:30 pm

Members are advised to keep an eye on the club Facebook page or the Belhus Woods website as sometimes the Country Park may close for various reasons such as bad weather that may have caused damage to trees but this is very rare, but it does happen
